Everything for a meaningful farewell
Since 1931, we have been arranging funerals according to personal wishes. Our experienced funeral directors are here to help you organize the cremation or burial exactly as you envision it, while taking as many concerns off your hands as possible. We understand better than anyone that a thoughtful and personal farewell can offer comfort to those left behind.
What to do in the event of a death
When someone passes away, there are a number of important steps that need to be taken immediately. Below you will find an overview.
Step 1: Call the general practitioner (GP)
The attending physician or GP confirms the death. Until a doctor has been there, the deceased may not be moved. During weekends, you can call the out-of-hours GP service. If there is a suspicion of an unnatural death or a crime, call 112.
Step 2: Visit by the examining doctor (coroner)
In many cases, an examining doctor will visit afterwards. This doctor assesses the death and prepares the official death certificate.
Step 3: Contact PC Uitvaart
Once the death has been confirmed, you can contact us. We are available 24/7 via 0800 50 80.
We will take care of the necessary legal documents, so you do not have to worry about them.
PC Uitvaart takes care of everything for you
After the first contact, we schedule a meeting with one of our funeral advisors. They support you and take practical matters off your hands. We listen to your wishes, think along with you, and arrange everything surrounding a farewell that suits your loved one. From paperwork to planning, from details to coordination on the day itself. This way, you have the space for grief, memories, and a personal goodbye.
